McCormack'
s win award at
Glasgow Business Awards 2006... |
|
At a glittering awards
ceremony in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, a group of 10 staff and
directors from McCormack'
s celebrated as they picked up the
Glasgow: Scotland with Style Award for Creative Marketing, at
the prestigious Glasgow Business Awards 2006.
In keeping with our established record of
non-conformity, the entire table ignored requests from the
organisers for only one representative from each company to
collect the award, as the entire group mobbed the stage to
collect the trophy -
a tactic which was subsequently emulated by
all other winners.
Glasgow Chamber of Commerce president
Norman Quick said he was impressed by the standard of all this
year'
s finalists, stating that '
The entrants in this year'
s
Glasgow Business Awards are a different class. These are the
people and the businesses that create the jobs, that create the
wealth, that give the city its unique hallmark. They make
Glasgow what it is -
the best city in the world.

| Mark Lamarr Features in
McCormacks Radio Adverts... |
|
Our most recent series of Radio ads features TV and
Radio presenter Mark Lamarr.
Mark'
s best known for his dour turn as the resident 50'
s
throwback on BBCs Shooting
Stars, and as the razor-sharp compere of 'Never
Mind The Buzzcocks'. In fact, any comedy show
with any pretence to quality has featured an appearance
from the be-quiffed comic, famed for his acerbic wit,
uncompromising opinions and heckle-proof off-the-cuff
spontaneity. Mark even asked us to donate his entire fee
to charity (and didn'
t ask us to publicise it) Top
